     Docket: T-1567-98

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC, THE 8th DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1998

Present:      Mr. RICHARD MORNEAU, PROTHONOTARY

Between:

LOUIS DESROCHERS

Plaintiff

AND

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF CANADA

Defendant

REASONS FOR ORDER AND ORDER

Mr. RICHARD MORNEAU, PROTHONOTARY:

[1]      Having read and considered all of the representations by the parties on this motion by the plaintiff to extend the time under rule 306 of the Federal Court Rules, 1998, the Court conclusively extends the said time to September 25, 1998. The plaintiff shall therefore serve and file his affidavit(s) within this time. This extension is, in my opinion, more than sufficient and I have some difficulty seeing how I could be persuaded to reconsider the terms of this order.

[2]      Moreover, I can only emphasize to the plaintiff that I am somewhat regretful at having to allow so many extensions of time in this case, even taking into account the factors invoked by the plaintiff, including the fact that he is representing himself.

[3]      Accordingly, I wish to remind the plaintiff that he must comply with the time periods and other requirements in the rules and not expect that any further request by him for an extension or exemption will again be allowed. No costs will be awarded on this motion, but the plaintiff would be well advised to consider Rules 410(2) and 401(2) in future.
