ASSESSMENT OF COSTS - REASONS
RICHARD LARABIE, ASSESSMENT OFFICER
[1] On July 26, 2002, Ms. Anne-Marie Boutin filed a bill of costs for assessment pursuant to a judgment of the Court dismissing the appeal with costs.
[2] Because Ms. Boutin requested leave to proceed in writing, and although the appellant had confirmed in writing that he was not disputing the bill of costs, letters were sent to the parties on August 29, 2002, inviting them to file and serve their submissions.
[3] Since no submissions have been received within the prescribed periods and I am satisfied that the parties had the opportunity to make such submissions, the respondent's bill of costs is assessed and allowed as requested.
[4] A certificate in the amount of $1,305.89 will be issued.
