[1]      On November 3, 1999, the appellant filed his bill of costs with respect to the judgment in this case dated September 30, 1999, and requested an assessment without personal appearance of the parties. In response to this request, we notified the respondent to submit her comments in writing.

[2]      On November 18, 1999, Josée Paquin informed us by letter that the respondent would not be filing any representations with respect to the bill of costs served by the appellant.



[3]      In light of the above and the evidence filed in support of the bill of costs, the appellant"s costs are allowed as follows: items 17 (1 unit), 18 (1 unit), 19 (7 units), 20 (1 unit), 22(a ) (2 units) and 26 (2 units). It should be noted that 2 units are allowed under item 26, which is the minimum permitted under Column III of Tariff B. Disbursements in the amount of $259.48 are assessed as requested.

[4]      The appellant"s costs are allowed in the amount of $1,659.48.
