BETWEEN:
MAURICE J. SYCHUK
Appellant
and
ATTORNEY GENERAL OF CANADA
Respondent
REASONS FOR JUDGMENT OF THE COURT
(Delivered from the Bench at Calgary, Alberta, on January 11, 2010)
[1] Mr. Sychuk, a parolee, has asked the National Parole Board to remove form his parole conditions the requirement that he remain in Canada at all times. The National Parole Board refused his request, and its decision was affirmed on appeal. Mr. Sychuk applied for judicial review. Justice Lemieux dismissed the application. Mr. Sychuk now appeals to this Court.
[2] We have not been persuaded that Justice Lemieux, in dismissing Mr. Sychuk’s application for judicial review, made any error of law or any other error warranting the intervention of this Court. We agree with Justice Lemieux’s decision, substantially for the reasons he gave. The appeal will be dismissed with costs.
